PRISM Presents: Holiday Movie Magic
Step into the spotlight of the season with PRISM Chorus as they bring the silver screen to life in Holiday Movie Magic! From the heartwarming sounds of The Polar Express to the mischievous glee of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, this dazzling concert features beloved holiday hits from your favorite festive films.
It’s a spirited evening of cinematic cheer, dancing for days, and joyful surprises—perfect for kicking off your most magical holiday yet!
PRISM Partners With MiGen
One of the most rewarding parts of being part of PRISM is having the opportunity to give back to our LGBTQ+ Community. This season, we are happy to be partnering with MiGen to do just that.

MiGen believes that everyone has earned the right to age out loud. From housing and healthcare support to social events and training, they provide services, advocacy, social programs, and community connections to make life safer, more connected, more vibrant, and more fun for LGBTQ+ adults 45 and over.
Our most recent activity with MiGen was helping to assemble supply boxes filled with products and goods that LGBTQ+ seniors need the most and delivering them in person.
PRISM's Halloween-Themed Cabaret

PRISM is taking over 215W in Ferndale for a Halloween Cabaret that’s equal parts spooky and spectacular. Expect a cauldron full of classic Halloween songs, outrageous numbers, and a dash of campy mischief only our chorus can conjure. Don’t forget your costume.

PRISM Hits The Road Was A Wild Ride
PRISM showcased a seasonal spectacular of music everyone knows and loves to bring holiday cheer to Metro Detroit. Featuring the Depot Town Big Band for a pre-show performance that brought an amazing energy to kick-off the show. We even sang hits from today's biggest artists like Santa Can You Hear Me by the one and only Kelly Clarkson, My Only Wish (This Year) by Britney Spears, and Merry Christmas (Happy Holidays) by NSYNC.
Our Holiday Concert Was A Global Celebration!
We performed our 2023 Holiday concert: PRISM Lights Up The World on December 16, 2023. The setlist featured an incredibly diverse array of holiday music spanning the globe and multiple genres.
Our performance included classic holiday hits such as Feliz Navidad and Auld Lang Syne, modern pop songs Big Lights Bigger City by Cee Lo Green and Lights by Ellie Goulding, and a diverse array of global music, such as Baba Yetu (a song in Swahili from the Civilization IV Soundtrack) and Zikr (written by famed Indian singer/songwriter A. R. Rahman). Our Men of Step brought the house down with their amazing dancing, and Men of Note performed a breathtaking version of Nearer My God to Thee.
PRISM Performed at Motor City Pride
We brought hits from our Disco Fever concert to Motown, performing for the fantastic audience at Motor City Pride!
PRISM Performed at Comerica Park for Pride Night
PRISM braved the rains to bring our Disco Fever hits to The Detroit Tigers to help celebrate Pride Night! In addition, our own Darin DeWeese was recognized by The Detroit Tigers as a Game Changing Leader for the LBGTQ+ Community!
Introducing Our Community Partner
We'd also like to formally announce our community partner for the season, Stand with Trans. This organization empowers and supports transgender youth across the world and their loved ones; helping them build resilience, gain confidence and discover a more joyful future. They are also committed to dismantling the barriers faced by our community based on racism, sexism, queer-antagonism, and other discriminatory factors.
We've seen the amazing work they've done over the years so we're excited to support them. In being a community partner, you'll find more information about them on our social channels throughout the season. Together, we are stronger and can help change more lives for the better.
Singing For The Governor Of Michigan
On March 7th, we had the privilege of sending a handful of singers to perform for the Governor of Michigan! The event, at the official Governor's Mansion, celebrated the passage of the Elliot Larsen Civil Rights Act to include gender identity and sexual orientation which was a huge win for the community. Our singers were in awe of being surrounded by an array of leaders in state politics and well-known grassroots LGBTQ+ leaders. We felt one of the songs we sang, Rise Up, perfectly symbolized the momentous occasion.
Piston's Pride Night Performance
PRISM had the privilege of singing at the Detroit Piston's Pride Night on March 19th. We got to feel the immense energy of being on the court along with being surrounded by our loving LGBTQ+ community here in Metro Detroit. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported us.
