Our Disco Fever Concert Is Coming Soon
The Winter 2023 season is well underway and we have some extra exciting updates to share with you.
First up, tickets are available for our Disco Fever concert now. Ensure you get the best seats in the house by booking early. The setlist features popular music predominantly from the 70s and 80s and there will certainly be some contemporary surprises to keep you boogying all night. Throw on your bell bottoms and come shine like a disco ball with the singers of PRISM.
Introducing Our Community Partner
We'd also like to formally announce our community partner for the season, Stand with Trans. This organization empowers and supports transgender youth across the world and their loved ones; helping them build resilience, gain confidence and discover a more joyful future. They are also committed to dismantling the barriers faced by our community based on racism, sexism, queer-antagonism, and other discriminatory factors.
We've seen the amazing work they've done over the years so we're excited to support them. In being a community partner, you'll find more information about them on our social channels throughout the season. Together, we are stronger and can help change more lives for the better.
Strike A Note At Our Upcoming Fundraiser
Come join the PRISM Fam, singers and bowlers alike, as we raise funds for our upcoming show PRISM Presents: Disco Fever! on April 23rd. Sponsored by Bright Loritos and Bowlero Lanes & Lounge.
Advanced tickets are HIGHLY encouraged to accommodate lane reservations. $30/person includes 3 hours of bowling, shoe rental, pizza, and pop. A cash bar is available as well as multiple raffles including 50/50 and gift baskets. We'd love to see you there.
Singing For The Governor Of Michigan
On March 7th, we had the privilege of sending a handful of singers to perform for the Governor of Michigan! The event, at the official Governor's Mansion, celebrated the passage of the Elliot Larsen Civil Rights Act to include gender identity and sexual orientation which was a huge win for the community. Our singers were in awe of being surrounded by an array of leaders in state politics and well-known grassroots LGBTQ+ leaders. We felt one of the songs we sang, Rise Up, perfectly symbolized the momentous occasion.
Piston's Pride Night Performance
PRISM had the privilege of singing at the Detroit Piston's Pride Night on March 19th. We got to feel the immense energy of being on the court along with being surrounded by our loving LGBTQ+ community here in Metro Detroit. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and supported us.
